The production of flat cables mainly includes the following steps:
1.Conductor drawing: The conductivity of a cable mainly depends on the internal conductor, so it is necessary to first draw a conductor that meets the requirements. This usually involves drawing conductive materials such as copper or aluminum into the desired cross-sectional shape and size through molds.
2. Insulation extrusion: The insulation layer of flat cables is usually made of materials such as plastic or rubber. These materials are heated and extruded in the extruder, wrapped around the conductor, forming an insulation layer. During the extrusion process, it is necessary to control parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed to ensure that the quality and thickness of the insulation layer meet the requirements.
3. Cable formation: Twist multiple insulated conductors together in the specified direction to form the core wire of the cable. The purpose of twisting is to reduce electromagnetic interference and improve the flexibility of cables.
4. Extrusion of inner protective layer: In order to protect the core wire of the cable from mechanical damage and external environmental influences, a layer of inner protective layer needs to be extruded outside the core wire. The inner protective layer is usually made of materials such as plastic or rubber.
5. Extrusion of outer protective layer: Extrude another layer of outer protective layer outside the inner protective layer to further improve the mechanical strength and environmental resistance of the cable. The outer protective layer is usually made of materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene (PE).
6.Finished product testing: Conduct testing on various performance indicators of the produced flat cables, such as electrical performance, mechanical performance, heat resistance, etc. Ensure that the cables meet the requirements of relevant standards and specifications.
