The  VSD/EMC Flame Retardant Cable is engineered for variable speed drive (VSD) systems to resolve core challenges of high-frequency harmonic interference and voltage spikes in industrial motor power transmission.

Conection of motors with variable frequency drive systems.

VSD systems generate PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals with steep voltage rise (6kV/μs) and common-mode voltage, which can cause insulation breakdown and electromagnetic interference (EMI). This cable uses:

Symmetrical 3C+3E core structure: Reduces distributed capacitance (≤100pF/m) and inductance (≤0.5μH/m) to minimize harmonic energy loss.

XLPE insulation (cross-linked polyethylene): Withstands 0.6/1kV rated voltage and 12kV impulse voltage, meeting NEMA MG-1 Part 31 requirements for motor insulation protection.

Copper braid shielding: Diverts common-mode current to ground, suppressing EMI radiation (compliant with EN 55011 Class A) and preventing interference with adjacent control/communication cables.
