1. Power transmission and distribution system (core application)
This is the primary application scenario of steel-cored aluminum stranded conductors, covering the entire power transmission chain from the generation side to the user side.
High-voltage and ultra-high-voltage transmission lines
It is widely used in overhead lines with voltage levels of 110kV and above, such as 220kV, 500kV, and even 1000kV UHV projects. Due to its high mechanical strength, it can achieve large-span erection, reduce the number of towers, and lower construction costs.
In areas with limited paths, the "shared tower and parallel installation" method is often adopted, where multiple steel-cored aluminum stranded wires are hung from a single tower to enhance channel utilization.

Long-span project
Suitable for long-distance crossing scenarios such as rivers, canyons, and railways. The steel core provides sufficient tensile strength to prevent the conductor from sagging excessively and ensure a safe distance.

Urban and rural distribution network
Used as the main line in urban ring networks and rural power grids, it solves the problem of long-distance power supply and has the advantages of low cost and convenient maintenance.

Strong adaptability to special environments
In high-altitude and cold regions: steel maintains its flexibility and toughness at -40℃, preventing brittle fracture due to low temperature;
High wind area: The helical twisted structure can disperse wind-induced vibrational stress and reduce the risk of flutter;
In areas prone to lightning strikes: The outer aluminum layer is preferentially corroded, protecting the integrity of the internal steel core structure.

2. Communication Infrastructure
With the expansion of communication networks, steel-cored aluminum stranded conductors are also utilized to support the erection of communication towers and lines, particularly in scenarios demanding high-strength support, ensuring the stability of signal transmission. Some lines also serve as ground wires, enabling the co-sharing of towers for both power and communication.

3. Architecture and Large-scale Engineering
In the construction of high-rise buildings, bridges, large venues, etc., it is used as temporary power supply lines or structural cable materials due to its high strength and durability, especially suitable for situations with high tension requirements.

4. Other derivative applications
Overhead ground wire: Some reinforced steel-cored aluminum alloy stranded wires can be used as lightning protection ground wires to enhance the safety of the line;
Coastal and polluted area lines: Adopt aluminum-clad steel core or anti-corrosion coating design to enhance resistance to salt spray and industrial pollution.
