Steel wire armored cable refers to adding a layer of metal wire armor protection layer to the insulation layer of the cable to improve its mechanical strength and wear resistance. It is suitable for various hanging, towing, laying, and embedding situations, and is widely used in fields such as petrochemicals, ships, mines, construction, machinery, etc.
Parameters of steel wire armored cables
Material:
The steel wire should be galvanized to enhance the corrosion resistance of the cable.
Wire diameter requirements: The nominal diameter usually includes specifications such as 0.8 mm, 1.25 mm, 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.15 mm, etc. The actual diameter should not be less than 95% of the nominal diameter.
Armor method:
The steel wire armor should be tight, ensuring that the gap between adjacent steel wires is as small as possible to enhance the compressive, bending, and tensile properties of the cable.
Cable structure:
Cables may use polyethylene as insulation material, which has good electrical and mechanical properties to ensure stable transmission of communication signals.
The cable sheath material may be polyvinyl chloride, which has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and can resist chemical substances and mechanical wear in the coal mine environment.
Usage characteristics:
Laying temperature: No need for pre heating under conditions not lower than 0 degrees; The laying is not limited by the drop, and the small bending radius varies depending on whether the cable has an armor layer.
Working temperature: The long-term allowable working temperature of the cable conductor is 90 degrees, and the temperature of the cable conductor during a short circuit does not exceed 250 degrees, with a duration of no more than 5 seconds.
Cable insulation resistance: At rated temperature, the volume resistivity and insulation resistance constant should meet certain requirements.
